NAS - Assessment of Technologies for Improving Fuel Economy of Light-Duty Vehicles–2025-2035 Report Release Webinar

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31 AT 3:30PM ESTThe 2025-2035 timeframe will bring fundamental changes to the cars and trucks we drive, from the growing market share of electric vehicles to deployment of automated vehicle technologies.

At the request of Congress and the Department of Transportation, the National Academies evaluated how internal combustion engine, hybrid, battery electric, fuel cell, nonpowertrain, and automated vehicle technologies could contribute to vehicle efficiency in 2025-2035, and the impact of these technologies on consumers, manufacturers, and vehicle regulations. The report provides cost and effectiveness estimates for future fuel efficiency technologies and discusses how the current Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards should be updated to reflect new technical, economic, and policy developments.
Learn more about the report’s key findings and recommendations by joining members of the committee for a public briefing webinar on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 3:30-4:30pm ET.
