Hydrogen – Does Efficiency Matter?

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17. 4pm in Berlin, 7 am in Los Angeles, 11 pm in Tokyo, 10 am in Toronto. “Hydrogen is not the solution, the efficiency is too low.” That’s what many people believe and say.

Efficiency is important, but it is not the only factor to be taken into account in an energy system. Size, weight, geographical aspects of the production site and the place where energy is needed, availability of materials e.g. for batteries, geopolitical aspects, seasonality, available infrastructure, approval procedures, legal aspects etc. are other factors that have to be taken into account as well.

In this webinar, Matthew Klippenstein, Executive Director at Hydrogen BC, a provincial affiliate of the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA), will explain what really matters in an renewable energy system with sector coupling, where hydrogen makes sense and why.
