The South Coast AQMD’s Science and Technology Advancement (STA) is entering its 34th year and serves a unique function within the agency by working with technology providers and original equipment manufacturers to develop, demonstrate and deploy pre-commercial zero emission and near-zero  emission technologies needed to reduce NOx emissions for implementation of the Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP). STA includes two groups--Technology Advance Office (TAO) and Monitoring and Analysis Division (MAD).
